The Ribblehead Viaduct carries the famous Settle–Carlisle railway across Batty Moss at Ribblehead, just up Ribblesdale from Middle Studfold Farm. The viaduct, a Grade II* listed structure is the longest structure on the Settle–Carlisle line. The land underneath and around the viaduct is a scheduled ancient monument; the remains of the construction camp and navvy settlements are located there.
