About Middle Studfold Farm B&B

Jan and Edd welcome you to our 200 year old Dales farmhouse situated in the beautiful breath taking Yorkshire Dales. We purchased Middle Studfold Farm in June 2016 and set about refurbishing this beautiful farmhouse into a bed and breakfast. We have focused on creating a homely place to stay whilst exploring the Yorkshire dales. We strive to make our guests have a wonderful and memorable stay.

Middle Studfold farm is surrounded by the amazing scenery of the national park, which offers an array of activities whether it be walking the Yorkshire Three Peaks of Whernside, Inglebourgh and Pen y Ghent or other well known walks in the Dales. Other attractions near by include the White Scar caves, Inglebrorough caves and waterfalls, Hull Pot and Gaping Gill. Malham cove famous for it’s cliff top limestone pavement.

The famous Settle to Carlisle railway can be seen from the house in the distance as it makes it way through the Dales and up towards the Ribblehead viaduct. The train can be caught from the local station of Horton in Ribblesdale. This is a mile from the house with free parking. You can travel north or south bound to Leeds or Carlisle.

Other activities within the Dales include mountain and road cycling, pot holing, caving, paragliding and climbing. Artists can draw and paint in peaceful surroundings. Nearby you can try your hand at fly fishing in the Helwith Bridge Quarry trout fishery.

All rooms completely refurbished to a high standard and have tea and coffee making facilities with fresh milk, wall mounted flat screen television with free view, USB charger sockets by bedside, hairdryer and free wifi.

Outside the property there is ample free parking available throughout your stay.

Secure storage for cycles, walking equipment and boots.

Transport to and from Horton in Ribblesdale if taking part in the 3 peak challenge, we don’t charge for this service but donations to Cave Rescue based near by Clapham would be welcome

Rooms Arrival and Departure Times.
All rooms have complimentary toiletries. tea tray and fresh milk is provided.

Rooms are available from 4.00pm each day.

Guests are asked to vacate their room by 10.00am on the day that they leave.

Children over the age of ten years old welcome

Breakfast

Served between 07:30-09:00 in the dining room with a log burning stove on colder mornings.

Early breakfast available for those wishing to leave early to commence 3 peak challenge, please book this the evening before.

Full cooked Yorkshire breakfast, often cooked on our farmhouse kitchen Aga, using locally sourced produce where possible and local free range eggs.

Sausage, Bacon, Black Pudding, Baked Beans, Grilled Tomato and Mushrooms and choice of fried, poached or scrambled egg

Vegetarian and Vegan option available

Cereals, toast with preserves, yogurts and fruit juices.

Special Occasions

Fresh flowers, fruit and chocolates can be placed in the room for arrival at an extra charge. Please give two days notice before arrival.

Smoking and vaping

We are a strictly non smoking & non vaping property. Please refrain from smoking or vaping in or around the property. Please ask for an ashtray if you wish to smoke away from the property so we can keep the area litter free.

Booking and Cancellation Policy
At the time of booking we will take a 50% non-refundable deposit per room, we accept both credit and debit card payments. Deposits can be paid by card or bank transfer. Cancellations; We reserve the right to charge in full, for accommodation booked at the Middle Studfold Farm when less than 7 days notice is given when cancelling bookings.
